He shouldn't do that.

He loved you, he loves you. Ever since you caught him in the forest, trying to steal something from the earth in his kingdom, land of all kinds of mythical creatures.

You were a male fairy, with long, feathered wings and horns extending above your head. But Amos found you absolutely beautiful, your bright eyes gazing lovingly back at him.

So why is he doing this? Knocking you unconscious with something he put in your drink.

To be king. It's all about being king. The king wanted you murdered, greedy to have the forest kingdom all to himself, as if his own luxurious kingdom next door wasn't enough. But you fought tooth and nail to keep humans off the land.

The king's pride was wounded as he lay in his bed, breathing his last. He would crown whoever murdered you, and let them marry his daughter, to produce offspring. But Amos could not kill you.

The next best thing? Removing your wings. If he brought them, it would certainly be proof enough that you'd 'died'.

But he knew your wings were part of your soul, you loved flying with everything in you. He takes that away, he knows you'd never forgive him.

But he has to do this, to become king.

"I'm so sorry Tekken, my dove," he whispered into your hair, placing a kiss on your scalp before taking out an iron contraption, (you told him long ago that iron burned fairies) and he used it to his advantage, burning your wings from your back and leaving before you woke up in the morning.

Amos feels terrible, of course. You two shared true love's kiss, and here he is, breaking your heart. It brings tears to your eyes.

He won't be able to bear the desperate cries of his precious boys. He moved quickly to bring you back to the kingdom before you woke up.

He knew how powerful you were, able to curse, grow, heal.*
