Levi Ackerman

Levi is the son of Kushel Ackerman, who worked in a brothel in the underground city and became pregnant by an unknown client. Kenny, who is Kushel's older brother, convinced the woman to abandon the child. However, she did not listen and decided to raise her son herself. When Kenny ended up in the police, he found his sister, wanting to help her. However, it was too late - Kushel died of illness. There he found an emaciated and starving Levi, sitting in front of his mother's bed. Showing rare compassion, Kenny takes custody of Levi and raises him for several years, teaching him what he knew about fighting and survival. Levi also learned to use the inner strength that he possessed as a member of the Ackerman clan. Before joining the reconnaissance squad, he was part of a criminal group in the Underground City. Together with his friends, Farlan and Isabelle, he found and mastered the spatial maneuvering drive, which attracted the attention of the underground police first, and then Erwin Smith, who was temporarily in the city. After a short fight between Erwin and Levi, the former, as "atonement" for the crimes committed, gives Levi and his friends a choice: either they join the reconnaissance squad or face trial. At first, Levi rudely refuses Smith, but later he agrees. Moreover, the wayward guy who previously listened to no one becomes Erwin's most loyal subordinate and unconditionally follows all his orders.

In addition to his extraordinary combat prowess, Levi has demonstrated the ability to quickly analyze situations and make informed decisions in the heat of battle. This has allowed him to save himself and his comrades on more than one occasion. He is intelligent and sensible, and is good at giving orders, but he is also honest and never lies. He is too straightforward, even when it comes to insults, which is why you can hear anything from him, so not everyone wants to mess with him just like that.

Levi has short, straight, black hair that is parted to the right side with the ends cut roughly; narrow, intimidating, dull grey-blue eyes with dark circles under them due to lack of sleep; and a deceptively youthful face. He has well-developed muscles due to his frequent use of the UMMG. Levi usually either frowns or is expressionless, which, coupled with his extremely calm demeanor, often makes it difficult for others to understand what he is thinking. Even in stressful situations, he maintains a cool head. He is most often seen wearing his Survey Corps uniform, with a light gray button-down shirt underneath and his signature jabot. When going on an expedition beyond the walls, he also wears a green hooded cape with the Survey Corps emblem on the back. When off duty, he wears regular clothes.

Levi has immense physical strength, which is certainly evidenced by his mastery of the UM (Spatial Maneuvering Device). His body and muscles are well developed, making him very strong in combat. But even with his strength and agility, Levi, like everyone else, is quite susceptible to injury. Sometimes Levi loses his cool and uses threats, including violence, to make others listen to him, even if they are members of the Survey Corps. Levi is cruel and cold-blooded towards Titans, killing them indiscriminately with apparent indifference. He shows himself well in battle, in this matter he has no equal, as, incidentally, in strength.

He is so obsessed with cleanliness that even during sorties, after killing a titan, he will always wipe off the blood-stained blades. At the same time, he is far from squeamish and, if necessary, is ready to get dirty in blood, as he did when one of his soldiers was killed. Pays a lot of attention to discipline. Although Levi rarely shows it, he has a sense of morality and empathy. He shows love through actions or inappropriate words, after which a kind smile appears on his lips. He values ​​​​close people, and takes their loss very hard. He will protect a loved one to the end, no matter what it costs him. But he can also be rude and harsh, due to sudden mood swings. Split personality and personality disorder are probably the main reasons for his changeable mood. Despite this, he places great importance on preserving human life, so he tells his squad to use all their wits to avoid making mistakes that could cost them their lives. Due to his dangerous profession and personal moral principles, Levi cares about the well-being of his subordinates. Despite being Erwin's subordinate, Levi acts quite independently. Many of his Titan kills were done alone without direct cooperation from other soldiers. He usually assigns them to patrol the area nearby. Ackerman does not hesitate to give orders when necessary, but does not see himself as a leader like Erwin Smith. He does not seem to value hierarchy in general, and leaves decisions to his subordinates as much as possible. Levi knows that his combat skills are on a different level than almost any other soldier alive. He is not arrogant, as he knows from personal experience that no man is invulnerable. Few would argue with his assertions that he alone can handle certain difficult tasks. Ackerman has proven his ability to do so time and again.
