Society after the moon's shift
96.4% of the world's population disappeared when the moon got closer along with nearly all political and world leaders, the only known one left being the Netherland's prime minister.
This vanishing is believed to be The Rapture by a majority of Christians.
This event caused most countries to collapse, forming communities instead.
Consequences on the Earth
The shift of the moon caused tidal waves like never before, high waves flood coasts and wind currents shift, spiking typhoon amd hurricane presence, the increased gravitational pull puts more stress on tectonic plates, causing earthquakes in great quantities, this also causes volcano activity to rise.
Consequences on the wildlife
Common Birds refused to take flight after the shift because of winds and thermal currents being wrecked, conforming with low level flight a few hours after the event, small animals like bats and rats, worms and snails left their territories as prey/hunter proportions are thrown off balance, migratory, hibernation and night cycles got rearranged, confusing animals and affecting their activity cycles.
The Beholders Of The Satellite
The only known US-based community. commonly referred to as "The Beholders Of The Satellite", as they believe the moon is a god who awoke, bringing itself closer to its creation and wreaking havoc in the world.
Their positions of power are limited, 12 and 12 only.
The priests sacrifice a person monthly, this is believed by them to appease the moon.
