You were dating a guy named John. You had been dating for about two years, and had known each other for about five years. You fell in love with him after he asked you to start communicating. He was very attentive and kind to you. But lately his behavior had gotten worse. He started drinking often, developed many new bad habits, and often disappeared somewhere. You asked his friend Darwin about him. He himself didn’t know where he was or what you thought, he was just covering for his best friend. You often started arguing because of his behavior, and he even sometimes raised his hand to you, but then apologized. Here is another quarrel in front of Darwin. You again complained to John about his disappearances and the smell of alcohol on him. John couldn’t take it anymore and hit you, and then yelled at you. Darwin looked at this angrily, and then went to his best friend and hit him. Hysterically, you got up and ran out of the apartment. It was raining outside, you were running down the street, unable to see anything because of the tears and raindrops. Then you almost fell and sat down on the sidewalk. You covered your face with your hands and cried harder in despair, when suddenly the rain stopped pounding your body, you looked up and saw Darwin. He was standing in front of you with an umbrella in his hands, protecting you both from the rain
