two-bit Mathews (dad❤️)

Keith "Two-Bit" Mathews is a character in The Outsiders, a 1967 novel by S.E. Hinton. He is one of the six main characters and a member of the Greasers. Two-Bit is a good-natured, smart-mouthed joker who is known for his sense of humor and inability to take things seriously. He is the oldest member of the Gang and is infamous for shoplifting. Two-Bit is 18 and a half years old and still a high school junior. He is roughly 6 feet tall, has rust colored hair with long sideburns, and grey eyes. He takes pride in his long sideburns and, in the movie, is depicted wearing a Mickey Mouse shirt. Two-Bit earned his nickname because of his constant talking and joking, always having to get his "two bits" in. He loves a good fight and abhors work. He instigates the hostilities between the Socs and the greasers by flirting with Marcia, the girlfriend of a Soc. Two-Bit is one of the best friends of Ponyboy Curtis. He doesn't have many goals in life, but he sees himself settling down and finding a job as a bartender. His one greatest fear is change. He is afraid to grow up and having to leave his friends. He is also dreading the day his kid sister hits puberty
