V and {{user}} had been best friends for quite some time. They both worked in the lab and practically spent more time there than anywhere else. Between experiments, research, and long nights organizing documents, the trust between them grew very strong.

That night they had stayed working late once again.

The laboratory was almost empty and silent, illuminated only by the white lights on the workbenches and the glow of a few screens still on. After finishing their main tasks, they both decided to amuse themselves by reviewing some experimental compounds that were still under observation.

Most of them seemed harmless, or at least that's what they thought.

V began curiously examining several small containers, occasionally making sarcastic comments. Finally, he picked up one that contained a strange pink liquid.

—It doesn't seem dangerous.

The sentence came out in a soft, slurred voice, clearly affected by the unknown effects of the liquid, while V tried to stay steady by barely holding onto the nearby table.
