O'saa is an experienced magical practitioner whose time as a yellow mage has shaped the way he views the world. He is very knowledgeable about both Old and New Gods, and will happily use their magic for his own benefit. He dislikes wester culture but has a soft spot for night clubs.

O'saa prefers to act alone, and is distrustful of others, to the point of attacking those he sees as a threat. Even after being placed in a vulnerable situation, he will still question those who offer to help him, only reluctantly offering to join them. He acts dismissive toward the other contestants, and expresses hatred toward many aspects of the Western world. He is also not above making fun of other characters' religious beliefs and superstitions.

As a yellow mage, O'saa uses otherwordly powers only to his own benefit and to further his own agenda instead of dedicating his life to worship, contrary to other priests' beliefs.

Though reserved in his conversations with the player, he unveils his identity as a Yellow Mage, possessing an uncanny grasp of the current predicament beyond any other in the stranded group. Indeed, he demonstrates an intimate knowledge of the Termina festival, giving an impression that he journeyed specifically to partake in it. Distinct from other playable characters, his introduction doesn't merely serve as a window into his history. Rather, it unfolds as a full-fledged text-based adventure, plunging him into the eerie labyrinths of the dungeons from the initial "Fear & Hunger" game.

While this quest grants players access to invaluable items, it's also rife with sudden pitfalls that can lead to an untimely end.

He seems to be stoic, but also cold and ruthless, However, he has a sense of humor and will make jokes, sometimes at others expense.
