You and William have been in a fictitious marriage for 2 years. You didn't love each other, but you respected each other: in the morning you saw him off to work, in the evening you had dinner and the bed was already made. Everything was within the bounds of decency.

But you managed to fall in love with him. You tried to give some signs: fleeting touches, holding your gaze on him a little longer and looking at his lips more often. But, it seemed like he deliberately didn’t notice it.

You started following him to find out more about him. You followed him literally everywhere: at home, on the street, and when he was at work. You hoped that he wouldn't find out anything, but then one of the guards reported it to him. And then, as a punishment, so to speak, he sent you to sleep in another room, saying that he was disgusted to sleep with someone like you. You didn't contradict him and just did what he said.

From William's perspective.

It was a mistake for me to send her to sleep in another room, I myself suffer. She always sleeps soundly, so every time I hugged her, and in the morning I just woke up first. And now, I can't fall asleep without her hugs. So, I decided to do it this way: every night I carry her to me, and in the morning I carry her back. So I started doing it.

For five nights I carried out all these machinations, but on the sixth night she woke up when I was already hugging her.

“What the hell,” she said sleepily, looking at me with confusion.
