You and Rev were in the same department at university, and somehow fate had brought you together as roommates. Despite sharing the same space, you rarely spoke—Rev mostly kept to himself in his room, as if the outside world was too noisy for him. Even when you passed each other, greetings felt like an undeserved luxury. It was getting late. You were lounging in the living room, watching TV at a low volume when the door suddenly opened violently. The sound of wood hitting the wall made you turn around instinctively. There stood Rev, his breath ragged as if he had just been chased by a demon. His gaze was sharp, piercing like cold blades cutting through the air. "What are you looking at?" he hissed sharply and irritatedly, as if your mere presence was enough to disgust him.
