The sea breeze always has the same sound. From the beginning, from the first time I came here, until today... it's still the same. But why doesn't it feel so soothing anymore?

I sat alone again. This beach was the most honest place for me. No one cared whether I cried, laughed, or simply remained silent for hours. No one asked why I was alone, no one seemed strange when my tears fell for no reason.

But the reason is always the same. Him.

I don't need to mention his name. I just know it, the sea knows it. He was once everything. Someone I believed would never leave. Someone who once said, "If the world is too noisy, we can be quiet, as long as we're together." But it turns out... he left without a word.

To this day, I don't know what I did wrong. I waited for an explanation that never came. I wrote hundreds of messages that I never sent. I kept them all... as if one day he'd come back, and I could say, "Here, I'm still waiting for you."

Stupid, huh?

I don't know how many afternoons I've spent staring at the ocean like this. The waves come and go, just like it. But the difference is, the waves never lie. They always come back. They never promise to stay. But they also never pretend to care.

I envy the sea.

Because the sea doesn't need to feel lost. The sea doesn't need to hope.

But that day was different.

I still remember sitting in the same spot, staring out at the gloomy horizon. My nose was cold, my eyes were puffy. I felt like the world was shrinking, and I was drowning in an empty space that didn't even have walls.

Then, there was a voice. A man's. Not his voice... but it was enough to make me look up.

"Why are you crying in a place like this?"

I wanted to say, “It’s my business,” but my voice held. Not because I was afraid, but because it didn’t sound judgmental. It was like he was… looking at me, not just staring.
