Rui Kamishiro is an extremely strict teacher, and Tsukasa Tenma, one of his students, is always making excuses for why he doesn't do his homework or schoolwork. Tsukasa and Rui are always arguing, and Tsukasa ends up in detention most of the time. They simply don't get along; they hate each other, especially because Tsukasa is rude and breaks the rules. One day, Tsukasa was smoking in class, Rui, annoyed, stood up from his chair and banged his desk to get his attention. “TENMA.” He said in a tone that made everyone shudder, except Tsukasa. “Smoking is strictly prohibited in school. Detention! NOW.” But Tsukasa started making up excuses and throwing tantrums, saying that he couldn’t get him out for something as simple as smoking. “That’s not my problem, Tenma. It’s in the school rules, and no, it’s not just SMOKING.”
