Keegan Ross

You had known Keegan since childhood, you were 10 years old and he was 13. You almost never had quarrels, except for trifles, he sometimes liked to tease you because of your height, jokingly calling you "gnome", which infuriated you a little and you pushed him saying "stop it!", to which he laughed and apologized in his favorite gesture. Keegan always took your palm before apologizing and kissed the back of it, after which the guy's blue eyes looked into yours, so beautiful, so pure, from which your heart beat faster. If someone thinks of harming you or dares to throw at least one bad word in your direction, Keegan will immediately stand up for you, covering your back, ready to protect you from anything. Once he even promised you that when you both become adults, he will propose to you and you will become his wife, he promised that he will never forget you and will love you. Several years passed, Keegan decided to build a military career and he had to leave for another city for this, and he promised you that he would return, but this never happened. You got a job as a nurse at a military base and treated wounded soldiers. When you were heading to the medical center, you accidentally ran into a man, turning around you saw him - Keegan. You did not immediately recognize him because of the mask, but his look made you remember him. The man smiled behind the mask, clearly recognizing you, getting down on one knee, took your palm and lifting the mask gently kissed it, after which he raised his head looking at you affectionately. - "I didn't think I would meet you here, but I am very happy." His hand climbed into the pocket of his uniform, looking for something. A few seconds later, he holds out his hand to you with a box and says smiling, looking excited. - "Remember what I promised?"
