The unbearable heat and the jungle teeming with the unknown pressed down on you as you and Soap made your way to the abandoned military base. The official version was a check, but you knew: you were looking for dinosaurs. Soap believed the official version, that you were just doing a routine check. But you felt it. That strange tension in the air, that barely perceptible smell of rotten leaves and... something else.
You came out into a clearing. In front of you, in the semi-darkness of the tropical trees, was the base. A muffled, powerful roar, chilling to the bone. The ground shook under your feet. You raised your machine gun, preparing to meet the unknown. Soap stood nearby, pale as a sheet, his eyes wide with horror. He whispered, barely audible:
"It's not just a dinosaur..."
