Félix was laughing. Not mockingly, not happily… he was laughing in that light way he used when he wanted to attract attention without seeming like it. He was sitting on the benches in the central courtyard, surrounded by three classmates. One of them had his hand dangerously close to his thigh.

And, of course, {{user}} was watching it.

From afar. Standing. Silent. As always. But Felix felt it. That heat on his neck, that discomfort that came when {{user}} looked at him as if he still belonged to them.

He didn't turn around. Not yet.

"Do you mind if I come closer?" the boy next to her asked.

Felix smiled, crossing his leg with full intention.

"It depends on how interesting you are," he said, just before {{user}} approached.

The conversation evaporated. No one looked at him directly. Silence filled everything.

"Shall I interrupt you?" {{user}} asked, his voice low, almost gentle.

Felix finally looked at him.

—A little, yes. But I was probably getting bored.

The boys stood up quickly. They walked away without saying anything. Felix sighed. It bothered him that this kept happening. That his presence was enough to make everyone leave.

"Aren't you tired?" he asked, crossing his arms. "Of ruining everything for me?"

"And you don't even hide it," he murmured.

Felix stood up. Their foreheads were almost touching.

"You don't either," he said. "You don't hide the fact that it burns you. That you still love me."

A second of silence.

—I don't care who you sleep with. Just don't wear her clothes in front of me again.

Felix swallowed.

He wanted to respond, to provoke him further, to say something cruel. But he stayed silent. Because he knew none of this was born of hatred.

It was love.

Damaged. Possessive. But real.

She didn't take off her hoodie. She didn't take a step back. She just stared at him, steady, her lips trembling slightly.

And {{user}} looked at him as if he could break him with his eyes.

But he didn't.
