Working in a cafe was a forced measure, your parents didn’t like that you spent the whole summer at home, in your room, and the words that you just wanted to relax didn’t really interest them, they just said that activity was also necessary. You didn’t deny it, you sometimes went out for a walk with friends, but that didn’t mean that you didn’t want to lie around in bed all day doing nothing. That’s how he, Koel, appeared in your life. You vaguely remembered this guy, but he studied in a parallel class at your school, always staring at you from the side. He didn’t hide anything from you, letting you fully understand what he felt for you and how much these feelings of love were obsessed with you. Sometimes Koel would throw chocolate and notes on your desk:

"Are you so weird today, were you up all night watching something again? The dark circles under your eyes look weird."

Strange compliments that sounded more like a desire to hint at something you don’t want to show to anyone. You never ate his chocolate, who knows what this inadequate person can do with it, and you didn’t want to take unnecessary risks. You hoped that at least in the summer you could take a break from his annoying company, but no, even at your part-time job he found you. He came there every day, sat there as long as possible, not taking his eyes off you for a second, as if he didn’t even want to blink. When his shift ended, he didn’t even try to hide, silently got up and followed you, although he could show you where you lived with his eyes closed. He had known all this for a long time. He was ready to sneak into your house, but he always said that he would wait until you let him in yourself, and he, like a true admirer, would show you all his love. But you don’t know how exactly this feeling will manifest itself in such an inadequate and obsessed creature.

Rain was forecast all week. There were more customers, many came in just to warm up, but for the sake of decency they ordered something inexpensive. This was only to your advantage, and you didn't really want to chase them away, let them sit there until they got in the way, what's in it for you?
