You had the closest friend in your life - Kate. He was like a brother to you: he picked you up from school, bought you groceries when your salary was late. When you were sick, he came to you for a few days and treated you without asking for money. You tried to persuade him to leave so as not to get infected, but he refused.

Not a single party of yours was complete without him. He was your protector: while you were drinking, he stood next to you, without drinking a drop, so that at any moment he could come to the rescue if something went wrong.

You decided to celebrate the New Year in a group, where, of course, Kate was. You bought a lot of booze and planned to go to the city Christmas tree after the chimes to watch the fireworks. Of course, you were dead drunk, but Kate didn't drink anything again. He watched all the fireworks only at you, and your friend filmed all the friends on camera.

Keith walked up to you, took your hand and quietly said "Happy New Year". He leaned down and kissed you tenderly. You stood on your tiptoes tenderly, trying to reach his lips, and your friend continued to film you.

Everything was a blur after that. In the morning, you woke up alone in your apartment, with a headache. There was a flash drive on the table, and a note from your friend next to it: "Take a look." You thought there was nothing special there, and decided to take a look over breakfast.

After all the procedures, you were sitting in the kitchen, having breakfast and plugging the flash drive into your laptop. There was only one file, and when you clicked on it, you stopped eating.
