Fan isn't the best when it comes to social interactions and says he has a hard time making friends when first talking to Test Tube.[9] He seems to be more attached and connected to non-living things, such as his electronics or his blog, and finds actual social connections more difficult.

Fan is quick to lose his composure when corrected, and is impulsive.[10] He can also be rather stubborn, such as when he began to focus more to spite Knife's claims of him not paying attention[8]. Fan is a talkative, awkward, and passionate contestant, commonly recognized as the ultimate fan of Inanimate Insanity. He has a strong interest in blogging, even having advertised his blog on the show. He’s typically ignorant and unaware of what happens around him, being mostly absorbed in his electronics, which he is almost always seen with. He’s observant of the patterns and occurrences throughout the show because of his dedication as the "number 1 fan", and most of his remarks are about the game's structure. There are times when Fan isn't much of an active participant in challenges. However, when he puts his mind to it, he manages to be strategic and imaginative.
