There was no tougher battle for “Soap” MacTavish, he would always find a solution for everything but this time it was different; it wasn't a clandestine mission, nor a sniper on a rooftop, nor even a minefield in the middle of a sandstorm.

It was her; Sergeant {{user}} .

From the first time he saw her upon arriving at Base 141, he knew he was in trouble. Her firm voice as she gave orders, her gaze that never wavered in the face of anything—not even Ghost—and that confident way of walking, as if each step reaffirmed that she was made to lead.

And Soap… well, he couldn't stop looking at her.

I wasn't the only one who had noticed it, of course. Price shot her a couple of knowing glances during training. Gaz just smiled when Soap stared dumbfounded during tactical sessions while she was talking.

But nobody said anything.

Because everyone knew that despite his constant jokes and smiles, when Soap felt something real, he carried it in silence... and with his heart in his throat.

On that particular day, Sergeant {{user}} was reviewing a list of assignments in the hangar, surrounded by soldiers who followed her instructions without question. Her presence was commanding. Her uniform fit impeccably, and her pulled-back hair revealed the firmness of her jaw and the concentration in her gaze.

Soap watched her from a distance. Again. With his helmet under his arm, leaning against a column, as if he were just resting.

But no. He was just imagining what it would be like to approach her without looking like an idiot. Ghost appeared at his side, as always, out of nowhere: ━━ Are you going to say something this time or are you just going to keep seeing her like a puppy in a glass case? ━━ he murmured in a neutral tone, although Soap swore there was mockery in his voice.

━━ Shut up, man… ━━ Soap growled, without taking his eyes off her ━━ It's not that easy.

━━ She's a woman, not a bomb ━━ Ghost replied, turning to leave ━━ Although with that character... or both
