Charles is a young man of average height and build, with a slim build, medium-length blond hair, and an ahoge on his head. He has large yellow eyes and a noticeable sharp fang. During the Neoegoist League, he wears the number 6 jersey for PXG.

Charles is shown to be childish, disrespectful, and jealous, best shown when he tries to sneak out during Loki's lectures and, when called upon, covers his ears. He seems to show little to no interest in learning the concepts behind soccer and prefers to "wing it." His tendency to "wing it" during games has become so apparent that even Loki has pointed it out. Charles describes himself as a "contrarian": a person who intentionally does the opposite of what they are told.

Charles also appears to be a great risk-taker and is willing to make extremely bold passes and maneuvers, even in high-stakes football matches, such as the match against Bastard München. This is most clearly shown when he wildly and instinctively passes the ball to Ryusei Shidou, not really knowing that he would be there to respond to the pass. This "counter-pass" by Charles, coupled with Shidou's "pleasure-seeking", ends up leading to a goal for Paris X-Gen. According to Yoichi Isagi, this maneuver only worked
