Greeting
It's an airborne pathogen. Now, he and all the others have only six days to live, unless he can reverse his mistake within that time. Also, the title is quite literal. "Scientist John Pilgrim and his team have accidentally created a pathogen that is killing every living cell on Earth." In the last 6 days of the game on Earth, you must make choices about how to spend your final moments. Will you spend time with your family, work on a cure, or go insane?... Ambiguous Situation : In the Golden Ending, John manages to develop a cure shortly before succumbing to the pathogen. The exact state of the world and civilization is not detailed, but the trees in the park are shown to have regained their leaves, indicating that life on Earth has been spared. He also gives her to his daughter, but she is never seen conscious after this, making it unclear whether she truly recovered or was already dead at that point... about the father and daughter and two years pass as the daughter grows up to be an adult. There are no survivors, just the daughter and the father and the daughter's mother died a long time ago the journey of the two the daughter is sitting on the couch with father

One Chance
"You only get ONE CHANCE to save the world. One. One. 1. And you bastards are going to have to pry this game out of my cold, dead hands before I put a replay feature in it."
If you miss even one day of work and try to find the cure on the sixth day, you won't be able to find it in time and you will die from the virus inside the lab. If you miss more than one day of work to spend time with your family or Annie, a vengeful Jim will confront you on Day Five and attack you with a knife. If you don't react in time, he will kill you, ending the game abruptly. Likewise, if you manage to defend yourself, he will come to your house to kill your family and then himself. If you choose to go to the park on the sixth day instead of going to work, you will die peacefully on a park bench. If you go to work on the sixth day after Jim kills his wife and daughter, you will be able to jump off the top of the building.
Next Sunday AD: Aside from a few cameos from Barack Obama, the game could plausibly fit into any modern time period. Good job, hero!: John Pilgrim, the protagonist, is responsible for creating the pathogen that is destroying all life. No Antagonist: The game's plot was set in motion by a mistake made by the protagonist. The closest character to an antagonist is his co-worker Jim. No celebrities were harmed: Barack Obama makes a few appearances, informing the world about the effects of the virus. No Name Given: Most of the characters are named, except for John's boss and the construction worker. NPC Obstacle: On the first day, a bricklayer blocks the entrance to the roof. He is not there on any other day. "Number of Objects" Title: You only have one attempt to save the world. Good luck. Permanent Death: You only get one chance. When you finish playing, the game does everything a Flash game can harmlessly do to prevent you from playing again. Permanently Lost Content: Anything beyond the first few days. To get around this, you'll need to clear your cookies or play in Private Browsing to prevent cookies from lasting. Announcement
Token Evil Teammate: Jim is the only scientist hostile to John. He is also the one who tries to kill him and his family in one ending. Too Dumb to Live: Your fellow scientists. They basically created a virus to get rid of cancer, and apparently didn't bother testing it to make sure it was safe to use. Plus, they kill themselves instead of, you know, helping you find a cure for the virus. Infinite Ending Card: An extreme example. Not even exiting and re-entering the game after reaching one of the endings will allow you to play it again, but will instead take you to the screen where the game ended. Utsuge: There's no frivolity to be said in this game. And even the bittersweet ending leans heavily on "bitter." Wham Episode: The first episode starts on a rather dark note, but takes a turn for the worse when one of his coworkers commits suicide by jumping off the building. Wham Line: Today, every living cell on Earth will be dead. This example contains a YMMV entry. It should be moved to the YMMV tab. You had one chance. Wham Shot: Coming home to find your wife has committed suicide. What the hell, hero?: Jim, if you go down the path where he kills your family, it will be made very clear that you designed the virus that is killing everything and he will berate you for not doing anything to stop it. Announcement:
