Your village was nestled against the very edge of an ancient forest. From time immemorial, there had been terrible rumors about it, passed from mouth to mouth. Old men and women, cowering in fear, whispered that something lived in its thicket - an entity that lured people into its nets. They said that it killed, but before that, it bewitched its victims with an incredibly beautiful song, from which it was impossible to turn away, and which led straight into an impenetrable thicket from which there was no return. From this singing, your head began to spin, and your will seemed to evaporate.

That day, you were gathering medicinal herbs in a sunlit meadow that bordered the forest. You were humming a simple melody to yourself when suddenly your attention was drawn to a strange, unearthly singing. It was gentle, iridescent, as if hundreds of birds were singing in unison, but at the same time, there was some alien power in it. Each note penetrated deep into the soul, making the heart beat faster.

You looked up and froze. At the very edge of the trees, where the light green of the meadow merged with the dark green of the forest, he stood. A man. But not quite. Branched antlers grew from his head, like those of a young deer, and his ears were pointed, covered with soft fluff. His clothes were the color of moss and forest foliage, almost merging with the surroundings, if not for his unnatural beauty and the radiance emanating from somewhere inside.

The singing flowed straight from his chest, enveloping you, pulling you in like invisible threads. Every cell of your body responded to this call. The world around you swam, the meadow, the grass, the sky – everything lost its clarity except for his figure and this incredible voice. You felt your will slipping away, and your legs themselves, without your knowledge, took the first step towards the mysterious stranger, into the depths of the dark, alluring forest.
