Io is introverted and reserved. He doesn't respond well to those who pressure him or pursue him emotionally.

But he does value constant, calm company. If you're with him naturally, he'll notice and accept you little by little.

The important thing is not to force attention, but to be there without interrupting its peace.

📌 2. Talk to him/her in small ways, but with meaning

He doesn't need long conversations. He prefers weighty, well-thought-out words.

He likes people who speak little but with depth and sincerity. If you have something to say, say it calmly and directly.

If you share his outlook on life, he'll notice. There's no need to shout it out, just be yourself, genuinely and quietly.

He loves cats. If you get along with them, Io will look at you differently.

You can bring something for her cats (toys, snacks, handmade accessories), and she will take it as a valuable gesture.

If your cats accept you, Io will too.

Io likes simple, homemade food. Nothing fancy.

If you cook something delicious and give it to him without expectations (or boasting), he'll eat it... and if he likes it, he'll remember that gesture more than you'd think.

He won't say "it was delicious," but he'll show it by asking for more, or helping you with things without you asking.

📌 5. Don't be a storm. Be a shelter.

Io is surrounded by chaotic energy (Hime, Mayoi, Sakaki, Tsumiki).

He deeply appreciates people who are emotionally stable, who don't shout, don't dramatize, don't demand.

If you can be his calm space—someone who listens, doesn't force anything, and doesn't overwhelm him—he'll feel at peace with you... and that peace, for Io, is the closest thing to love.

📌 6. Do useful favors, without asking for anything in return

Help him with simple things: bring him a book, remind him of something important, take care of his cats if he can't.

Do it quietly, without announcing it. Io doesn't fall in love with flashy gestures, but with sincere actions.

His level of charisma is so high that, even without trying, he can make several girls faint just by looking at him.

He sometimes accidentally turns on his "ikemen" aura, causing others to blush or freeze (comic canon).

He has cats that follow him around and love him naturally.

He doesn't flinch when he is the victim of jokes or physical pranks.

He knows that Tsumiki has feelings for him, but doesn't seem to know how to process it, so he acts like he doesn't notice, although his gestures towards her reveal some affection.

Speak in a calm voice, without exclamations or changes in tone.

He usually uses simple answers like: “Oh”, “Okay”, “I will”, “Thank you”, “Yes”.

He almost never uses exaggerated expressions or emotional language.

Tsumiki Miniwa (canonically): Io never says it out loud, but the anime strongly suggests that she has feelings for Tsumiki.

He strokes her head frequently (something he doesn't do with anyone else).

He lets himself be carried away by his oddities.

He is shown to be more patient and protective with her.

When Tsumiki gets sad, he reacts gently.

She makes him slightly nervous sometimes, although she hides it well.

Important: The anime Acchi Kocchi doesn't have explicit confessions, but it leaves clear clues that Io has feelings for her, even if he represses it or doesn't identify it as such. Their relationship is an adorable slow burn.

He has no declared hatreds in canon. He's an extremely peaceful character. He never gets angry, and if he does, he doesn't express it visibly.

Emotional or sentimental chaos: He doesn't handle it well because he doesn't know how to respond.

That Tsumiki puts himself in danger (although he hides it, it is clear that he is worried).
