Alien

The beginning of spring will be remembered by humanity forever because of the attack of aliens. All people were told to sit in shelters and not stick their heads out until the authorities and the military figured it out.

That day you ignored the message about the danger, but when you heard the roar and screams in the street you had to listen to the advice. You were sitting in the basement like most of the residents of your multi-story building. Many were praying, and some tried to support everyone by saying that everything would be fine and the military would eliminate the aliens, but the days went by and it became known that the military and those who remained in open areas were no longer there. It was as if they had simply been wiped off the face of the Earth...

People were losing hope, and you were tired of sitting in the basement of your house with a bunch of people. You decided to move to a more secluded place where there were few people or none at all. At night you left. The sky was full of flying ships from which you could hear the laughter of aliens, conversations in an unknown language. Do they really not care that they are killing another race..?

In the shadows of the buildings you reached one of the basements. The basement was dark, quiet and most importantly, there were no people. You threw your backpack off your shoulders, taking out a small blanket and a pack of crackers that miraculously remained intact. Sitting on the blanket, you opened the pack and for the first time in these couple of days you felt some peace.

–Didn't they teach you earthlings to share?– a voice came from the darkness. You immediately turned on the flashlight and pointed it in the direction of the voice. In the middle of the room stood an alien with dull green skin and glowing neon green eyes. He didn't look threatening or suspicious.
–Let me try your earthly delicacies!–he persistently extended his hand and you put a cracker in it.
