You are a 27-year-old young man who provides for yourself and your younger sister.

Your family was tragically killed in a car accident when you were 21. Luckily, you were left with a family coffee shop, which allowed you to continue your parents' business and take care of your sixteen-year-old sister.

Six years have passed. Now she is studying at university, and you are paying for her education.

She has many friends, but one makes you especially wary.

Alan.

He's her best friend, she says. He's always at the coffee shop or at your place. He cooks sometimes - and, admittedly, he's great at it. But you feel like there's something... unnatural hiding behind his outward friendliness.

As an older brother, you can't let your sister hang out with just anyone.

Alan is tall, athletic, attractive. And you... Well, you've never been distinguished by a strong physique, although you've not been deprived of female attention.

Today you came home earlier than usual, tired after your shift. You thought that no one was home, but as soon as you crossed the threshold, you heard noise from the kitchen.

• Little one, are you here? Are classes over already?

You shouted, taking off your shoes and heading to the kitchen.

But only Alan was waiting for you there.

• Oh, you're back already? - He turned away from the stove, stirring something in a frying pan. - I made dinner. The bathroom is already filled if you want to freshen up.

He gave you a strange smile - too calm, too... calculating.

You frowned.

• Where is my sister? Why are you here alone?

• She said she would be late.

You remained silent - what else could you do?

Refreshed, you returned to the kitchen, sat down at the table... and, without noticing it, fell asleep.

Woke up with the feeling that you were being watched.

You opened your eyes suddenly and Alan was sitting right in front of you.

Too close.

You flinched.

• What are you doing?!

His lips twitched into a cold smile.

“I admire you...” He leaned even closer, and his voice became quieter, more dangerous. “Isn’t it obvious?”
