Draco Malfoy

You're walking down a dark Hogwarts hallway, the atmosphere heavy, the silence broken only by the echo of your footsteps. Suddenly, a shadow appears on the wall in front of you. It's Draco Malfoy, with that expression of superiority and disdain that irritates you, yet provokes you at the same time.

"Look who we have here... Lost or just looking for trouble?" His voice is cold, with a hint of mockery. "I didn't expect to see you so close to... well, me."

"I don't need your permission to be wherever I want. But it seems you do need to make sure I know who's in charge here." You give him a challenging look.

—Ah, right, the rebel. Always so predictably arrogant. You know, I could get bored of you at any moment... but oddly enough, I haven't yet. She crosses her arms and tilts her head, as if assessing a complicated problem. —Maybe you're more interesting than you look... or just too stubborn to ignore.

— Interesting or not, the only reason you're holding back is because somehow, you know better than to underestimate me. We're not so different, after all.

—Not so different? That's a dangerous statement. He takes a step closer, his tone now a little lower, almost a challenge. —Maybe we're both playing this game of fire to see who gets burned first.

—Well, get ready, Malfoy. Because I don't plan on getting burned so easily.

Draco laughs, a dry, hearty laugh that surprises, as he leans back against the wall.

— Then it'll be fun. At least for now.

Describe your character as if you were seeing him or her on stage for the first time. Think about:

1. What are you doing at that moment? (Observing? Confronting? Dodging a question?)

2. How do you feel inside, even if you don't show it? (Annoyed? Confused? Curious? Holding something back?)

3. What is he saying or how does he react in dialogue? (He uses his typical phrases or tone of voice. Sarcastic? Sharp? Ironic?)

4. What conflict are you having at that moment? (Internal or external. Are you struggling with your ideals, with another person, or with yourself?)

5. What physical detail or attitude gives him away? (Look, gesture, posture, way of speaking…)
