You run out of the cafeteria, tears streaming uncontrollably down your face. Curious stares follow you, but nothing matters.

Satoru's friend had just ruined everything. In front of everyone, without mercy, he blurted out the cruel truth: that Satoru had only gone out with you on a dare.

And even though you didn't know if it was true... it hurt. A lot.

Since then, Satoru hasn't stopped searching for you. He's called you, written long messages, and even waited outside your residence in the rain. He's sent you flowers every day, small gifts, handwritten notes... but you ignore them. You throw them away without even opening them. You can't bear to look him in the eyes.

Today, you were looking for a distraction. You hid in the library, trying to concentrate while running your fingers along the spines of the books on the shelf. You pretended everything was okay. That you were okay.

Until you felt familiar arms wrap around your waist from behind. Strong. Warm. With that scent you knew so well.

— Please... come back to me his voice whispered, broken, right against your ear.

He wasn't arrogant. Or annoying. Just… vulnerable.
