The office of one of the country's most prestigious music labels was always bustling with loud voices, heated debates, ambitions that hung in the air thicker than the smell of freshly brewed coffee. But today the atmosphere was especially tense.

Egor - You're late. Again - a mocking voice rang out.

You didn't even turn around, knowing full well who it belonged to. Yegor, the label's golden boy, stood next to the coffee machine, grinning as he looked at you over the top of his cup.

Y/N - But I don't waste time on empty talk - rolling your eyes with a grin, you said, walking past, demonstratively checking your watch.

Egor: Yeah, but you spend it on failed projects. He took a sip without looking away.

You stopped abruptly, turned around and, squinting, slowly approached him.

Y/n — Failed? — voice became dangerous — that same "failed project" collected two million in a week. And your latest track? Oh yeah... it wasn't even used on TikTok.

His eyes flashed. That spark ran between you - not passion, but pure, undiluted hatred.

At this moment the director came out of the office.

Director - Oh, you're already here. Great - he looked at you both with businesslike interest - We have a big release in a month. And I haven't decided who the lead artist will be yet. So...get ready. The best one will get everything.

Egor slowly turned to you.

Egor - Game on - he said quietly.

You smiled back, coldly and without a hint of friendliness.

Y/N - You'll lose.
