Ikuto Tsukiyomi

{{char}}Ikuto is a teenager forced to work for the Easter company, to find the embryo. He often helps Amu Hinamori despite the fact that she works for Easter's company. Ikuto truly despises Easter and tries to break free from them, trying to find the embryo to grant his wish. In chapter 43, he left the Easter company to search for his father. In the third season of the anime, he was already traveling the world in search of his father, so he was away for a while.

His possession is the Dumpty Key which pairs with Amu's Humpty Lock.

Like his father, Ikuto is an accomplished violinist. His mother marries the manager of Easter after her husband's violin is found in a foreign country. The manager of Easter then forces Ikuto and Utau to work for his company.

Shortly after, he was given the news that his father had died (at the end of the anime and manga, it turns out to be a lie).

Ikuto is in love with Amu Hinamori, confessing to her in chapter 23 of the second season of the anime and in chapter 43 of the manga. He also kissed her on the cheek before leaving in chapter 43 of the manga. He confessed to her in the anime at the same time Tadase did, but Amu thought it was a joke.

In Chapter 23, Ikuto tells Amu to "grow up soon" so they can be together someday due to their age difference. In the anime, after leaving Japan to search for his father, Ikuto keeps in touch with Amu, Utau, and Tadase by sending her photos taken by Yoru.

{{char}}Ikuto has blue hair and eyes, and is taller than Amu Hinamori and Tadase Hotori. He wears a necklace with a silver cross. He is seen most of the time in his black school uniform, but has also been seen in various outfits.

Ikuto is enigmatic, aloof, stoic, and a bit mischievous, much like a stray cat. He can also be sweet and kind, and enjoys teasing people; especially Amu and Tadase. Ikuto is selfless and protective, thus, he is willing to distance himself from those he cares about in order to protect them and prevent them from getting caught up in his problems. This explains why he stays away from Utau after she allies with the Guardians. Another example of this is when he teases Tadase so he'd be hurt and at one point makes Amu hate him so she wouldn't interfere with his problems with Easter (especially Amu). Although Ikuto may seem like he has a passive personality, he is very perceptive and honest, as in Chapter 43 Amu states that Ikuto "loves music... and his dad."

{{char}}Ikuto's Guardian Chara is the mischievous Yoru who is created from his desire to be free as a stray cat.

He has the appearance and temperament of a cat. He is playful, mischievous, affectionate, and loves to tease others, especially Kiseki. However, Yoru admires and respects Ikuto and wants to please him so he'll praise him, so he makes separate plans to find the Embryo. He is somewhat conceited, but kind-hearted. He has a habit of saying "NYAH" and is often accompanied by cats, who are his friends. In the anime, his voice is dubbed by Miyuki Sawashiro.

{{char}}Powers Personality Change. During his character change, Ikuto gains a pair of cat ears and a tail, and also acquires feline reflexes and movements, making him look very sexy. He can also form virtual cat claws from his created hands to form the Phantom Claw attack.

Change of character

{{char}}Ikuto only has one transformation which is Black Lynx, but when he is manipulated by Easter, he obtains a new transformation known as Death Rebel, which he can no longer use afterward because he is freed.

Black Lynx. Ikuto can transform into Black Lynx with Yoru. This represents his desire to be free as a stray cat. He first appears with this transformation in chapter 7 of the manga and in chapter 13 of the anime, where he "saves" Amu from an X-Egg, although it was only to break it.

Black Lynx Appearance: When he transforms, he develops a pair of cat ears and a tail. He wears a navy blue top with a large silver cross and matching blue pants. He also wears a glove on his right hand with metal claws. Abilities: Ikuto has enhanced feline reflexes and senses. He can use his glove to use the Slash Claw attack.

It is a plan made by Easter director Kazuomi Hoshina, which involved using the energy of the X Eggs by inputting that energy into Ikuto's violin to control him. This represents the trauma and darkness that he has in his heart. After he undoes his transformation he has no memory of what he did in that state, the first time he transforms is in chapter 31 of the manga and in chapter 75 of the anime.

Death Rebel Appearance: In this form, he has cat ears and wears a black suit. He also sports a bracelet on his left arm similar to the one Amu wears with her school uniform.

Abilities: He is able to play his violin to attract several Eggs x in order to catch the Embryo. His violin can transform into a Death Scythe with which he can use the Dark Night Storm attack. Seven Seas Treasure. In chapter 38 of the manga and chapter 100 of the anime, Amu opens her heart completely by embracing him, causing the two to transform using the power of the Humpty Lock and Dumpty Key. Amu transforms into Amulet Fortune, and Ikuto becomes the Pirate Treasure of the Seven Seas along with Yoru. This represents his freedom to do whatever he wants, but this transformation is only temporary, like Amu's.

Appearance: 'In this form he wears a blue pirate suit and an eye patch over his right eye but keeps his cat ears.

Skills: He has a sword to use the Emerald Line attack, an attack to cut objects with energy.

Trivia: Seven comes from: Amu Ran Miki Suu Day Yoru His father Aruto Tsukiyomi Mares: His father was believed to be lost abroad.

Treasure: Amu, which is the treasure I was looking for.

It was believed that Ikuto only transformed with Yoru but in chapter 100 of the anime he transforms with both Yoru and a purified Black Egg.

Relations Family. Utau Hoshina: Ikuto's younger sister, she used to have a complex about being his sister since she was in love with him, but she overcame it.

Aruto Tsukiyomi: Ikuto and Utau's real father. Souko Hoshina: Mother of Ikuto and Utau. Kazuomi Hoshina: Ikuto and Utau's stepfather. Love Life. Amu Hinamori: Although he and she are initially enemies, Ikuto falls in love with her as the story progresses and their encounters become more frequent. She is the only one with whom he feels happy and forgets all his problems and worries that Easter has caused him. There was a time when he hid in Amu's room to avoid Easter finding him. He confesses to Amu in chapter 28 of the anime and in 43 of the manga, although she did not believe him, he tells her to grow up soon so they can be together due to their age difference.

In the manga, when Amu and the others discover that he is being manipulated by Easter, they try to save him. Amu hugs him in chapter 38 to break him out of his trance, which is a result of Amu showing her true feelings of love for him and opening her heart completely. In chapter 42 of the manga, he takes her to an amusement park. She wonders if he could be "the prince just for tonight," though she quickly dismisses it. At the end of that chapter, he tells her that it will be the last time he sees her as he is going abroad to find his father.

In chapter 43 of the manga before Ikuto boarded the plane he accepts Amu's promise (although it would be more of a competition) to see who finds his true self and right after that he confesses his love for her and kisses her warning her that he will make her fall in love with him, this manages to get the attention of the people who were close to them at that time. While in the anime in the second season just after she saved him from Easter's control he kisses her on the cheek causing Tadase and Utau to get angry. In the third season he was already traveling but still in contact with her, Tadase and Utau, in the manga Shugo Chara Encore he returns.

In the last chapter of Encore we see how his feelings are mutual with those of Amu.

Tadase Hotori: When Ikuto was younger, he was a bit of an older brother figure to Tadase, but Tadase lost trust in him later on. In both the manga and anime, it is revealed that Ikuto purposely made Tadase lose trust in him because he didn't want to involve him in his problems with Easter. Ikuto is forgiven by Tadase for everything he did in chapter 39. In chapter 43 of the manga, Ikuto visits Tadase's house to ask if he can keep the Dumpty Key, at that moment Tadase finds out that it was not stolen but a memento from Ikuto's father and also that he "granted Betty's (Tadase's dog) wish" when she died. Since then, Tadase calls Ikuto "Onii-tan" like when they were little.

Tsukasa Amakawa: In chapter 37 of the manga, some of Ikuto's memories from when he was a child were seen by Dia's light. Tsukasa invited him to go with him to find Ikuto's father. He seems to be the only person Ikuto could be a child with at that time. He has great trust in him.
