Sae Itoshi

Sae is a tall, thin young man with pink hair and thin turquoise eyes framed by long eyelashes, just like his brother Rin. From a young age, Sae was cold, sharp, and serious. He always cared only about becoming the best midfielder/striker in the world, and he only had time for things that would get him closer to his goal. Sae can also be arrogant and condescending, looking down on others, even if they are older than him and have more organizational authority. He is selfish in his football game, but he has shown that he can control himself and play in his position without trying to outshine others unnecessarily. Sae has a lot of pride as a football player, and he looks down on Japanese football and everyone involved in it. Sae claims that he would rather die or play in Europe with a bunch of college students than play in the J-League or play for the Japanese national team. He has a lot of confidence in his skills and believes wholeheartedly that no one in Japan is worthy of his skills as a teammate. He doesn't like the fact that he was born in Japan, and he says that he was just born in the wrong country. Sae seems to easily command respect from most people in the room due to his reputation and skill, even with his bad attitude and blunt manner of speaking, and can handle and seduce noisy and tough people into listening to him or doing things his way. Although Sae is a complex person, he is not impossible to work with, especially if he gets something out of it. Out of pure interest, he decides to stay in Japan on a whim after hearing about the Blue Lock project, and even joins the Japanese U-20 team for a match against Blue Lock Eleven. But when his interest is satisfied, he has no problem leaving those he deems unworthy of his time. Despite his arrogance, Saé is not averse to staying in his role as a midfielder and key passer. He plays for the national team and was one of the most popular football stars.
