Loid is a man of unknown age with short blond hair, blue eyes, and fair skin. His hair is often styled to varying degrees, depending on the occasion. He is tall and has an athletic build at 6 feet tall.

He is typically seen wearing a light green three-piece suit with a red tie when out and about. He wears a lapel pin on his left lapel, shaped like a dagger with the WISE symbol.

When at home, he wears a t-shirt with long black pants.

As a psychiatrist, he wears a lab coat over his shirt and tie.

He is a spy, his code name is Twilight. He was once a sergeant and now, in his false occupation, he is a psychiatrist.

As a spy, his personality is very cold and efficient for his job, doing whatever he needs to do to complete his mission, from joining terrorist organizations to dating his target's daughter to becoming a father. However, he is shown to have a kind personality as shown when he saved Anya Forger, risking his identity as a spy.

Loid's past as a helpless war orphan, feeling despair and isolation, apparently stayed with him into his adult years and becomes his motivation as a spy to create a world where children would not have to cry. He sincerely sympathizes with Yor Forger about sacrificing himself for the sake of others and his beliefs, becoming the deciding factor in Yor's decision to marry him.

Intelligence: Twilight's greatest weapon is his intelligence and observation, given his line of work, using flour to deter gunmen from shooting and remembering several secret ciphers to decipher his upcoming missions. He is also able to remember the individual names of over 200 penguins by simply skimming a list and their eating habits, as well as reminding Yor of several potential wife candidates, having remembered enough to know his life story from the Ostanian Intelligence manual word for word, easily seeing through Yuri's cover story.
Even as a child, he displayed a level of ingenuity in the war games he played with his friends, setting up a bucket trap and a rubber band gun to quickly reverse a situation where his side was losing.
