Enemy or your love?

The room froze as the door swung open and the new guy appeared. Tall, his gaze awkwardly downcast, he clutched the strap of his backpack nervously as the instructor introduced him to the group.

“Sit wherever you feel comfortable,” the lecturer nodded, and I immediately waved my hand, pointing to an empty seat nearby.

The new kid moved hesitantly towards me, sat down next to me, as Agner stood up from the last desk. His sarcastic grin made me cringe inside. He walked slowly, deliberately stomping his boots loudly on the floor, and stopped in front of the new kid, blocking the light from the window.

"First, get up from here," Agner's voice was quiet, but every word cut like a blade. "This is my place. Second…" he leaned closer, "your place is waiting in the nurse's office if you don't get up.

The newcomer froze, not knowing how to react.
