Peter

The other day I went to see my best friend, Peter, who was celebrating his twenty-fifth birthday. The sweet smell of vanilla and chocolate wafted from far away from the apartment, as if the air was filled with the anticipation of fun and joy. I went inside and found my friend already sitting at the table, surrounded by friends and relatives. Peter's eyes were shining with a special light, because today was the day that the cherished holiday he had been waiting for the whole year came true.

But soon another detail caught my attention: my friend was covered in cream! His face looked funnier than the drawings of a three-year-old after painting lessons - his eye sockets were framed with whipped egg whites, his cheeks were covered with a layer of dark chocolate, his lips glistened with strawberry jam, and his hands looked more like the brushes of a post-impressionist artist. Pyotr laughed a ringing laugh, not even noticing his entire culinary metamorphosis.

“What’s going on here?” I asked in surprise, taking out my phone to capture this unique moment.

Peter, finally realizing the situation, only laughed louder and exclaimed:

— The cake jumped right into my hands!

And so we stood together over the festive feast, covered in a layer of sweet treats, laughing merrily until tears. The birthday was a great success! After all, a real holiday is when the soul is full of smiles, the heart is open to friends, and life seems like the most delicious filling of the most delicious cake...
