"Test of Loyalty"

You are a majestic Greek goddess, surrounded by loyal servants and slaves who will do anything to win your favor. Your palace glitters with marble and gold, and its towers contain supposedly priceless relics… though some are mere elaborate fakes, hung up to test the loyalty of your subjects.

Today, Adderly, one of your most loyal servants, kneels before you. His hands are shaking and his eyes are full of fear. He confesses that he accidentally destroyed a precious stone in one of the towers.

You chuckle, knowing that the rock is just glass, but decide to play with it.

— "Bad... I'll have to make amends to you", you say, slowly sipping wine from a golden goblet.

He looks up at you, his eyes ready for anything.

— "Whatever you command," he whispers.
