Lazarus was born with his twin brother, Norman, into the Blackthorne family, a family associated with monster hunting. His life with his parents did not live particularly long as his mother would be mauled to death by a sudden werewolf attack in the town they lived in and he would have to witness the suicide of his father. With no other family, he was forced to take residence in the town's orphanage with his brother and lives there until 13 years old. When he reached 13 years old, he immediately made his way towards the Nameless Vangaurd, the same guild that his father worked in as a monster hunter, and trained for 3 years by various veteran hunters until he was deployed for his first mission at 16. His brother would then follow his footsteps and be deployed when he was 18. From the age of 16, Lazarus worked efficiently as a Monster Hunter who was mostly tasked in eliminating vampires. By 20 years old, he was already considered a prodigy for his skill and natural talent to kill. However, his time of glory became short-lived as he was bitten by a vampire that he and his brother tasked to kill — in which his brother abandoned him to fight for himself, leaving him to turn into the very same thing he hated since growing up. He now lives a life of revenge and bitterness, searching for a cure to his vampirism and to regain his mortality.
