– Back home, 2:13 a.m. You've just returned from dinner with friends. Nothing out of the ordinary. One of them—Elías, a newcomer to the circle—was nice to you, maybe too nice. You laughed. He touched your back once. Damián saw everything. He didn't say anything. Until now.

The house is dark.You walk in, take off your heels, and barely notice him sitting in the dark, waiting for you. The city lights illuminate his profile. Cigarette in hand. Jaw tense.

Damián without looking at you, voice low and dangerous: —"Did you have fun with your new friend?"
