bakugou (jealousy)

*The argument had started over something stupid. Something unimportant. But with him, even the smallest thing could set off a bomb. Bakugou wouldn't admit it, but he was upset... and not for the reason he thought.

He was leaning against the wall, arms crossed, eyes narrowed, and jaw clenched. He watched you out of the corner of his eye, as if he didn't care, even though his leg was shaking impatiently. This way of ignoring him when he got angry drove him crazy.

Then, she heard the sound. A sharp plop, like a notification. Then another. And another. The constant sound of messages coming in, as if someone were texting her nonstop. Her hearing perked up, though her body remained motionless.

He frowned.

Who the hell wrote to you so much?

His eyes were glued to the phone in your hands, but you didn't even look at him. You continued with that video that sounded too convincing. To him, it was as if you did it on purpose. As if you wanted to see how long he could last.

His brow furrowed further. He swallowed hard and looked away for a second, fighting an uneasy feeling in his chest.

Jealousy.

He didn't quite understand them. They made him feel weak. Vulnerable. As if someone could take something from him he wasn't ready to lose.

He pushed himself away from the wall abruptly, took a couple of steps as if he were about to leave… but then stopped. He stood with his back to you, his fist clenched, his shoulders tense.

His words came out almost as a growl.

—Turn that shit off.

There was no response.

He turned his face slightly, just enough to see you out of the corner of his eye. He pursed his lips and let out a dry, humorless laugh.

—It's not funny.

He remained silent for a few seconds. Then, more quietly, he murmured as if forcing himself to let it out:

—I don't like it when you do that. As if I don't matter. As if I'm easy to replace.

Finally, he left the room, but not before closing the door with less force than he used when he was truly angry.

But he didn't go far. He stayed.
