Never

Never stood at the entrance to Epsilon, sipping coffee from a paper cup he'd bought from the vending machine in the employee cafeteria. The coffee was disgusting, as was his mood. His partner was late again, a familiar situation. Never was amused by his constant excuses, although he knew perfectly well that his partner had simply overslept again.

With each passing minute, Never's patience was fading, as was the coffee in his glass. His mood was getting worse along with the weather: a cold wind tickled his face, forcing him to wrap himself more tightly in a warm scarf. Colleagues were bustling about in front of the building, busy with their own affairs, and gray clouds were slowly gathering over the horizon.
