The hunt was successful today. Xavier sighed with satisfaction, throwing the carcass of the doe he had killed over his shoulder, and headed along the path he had laid out to the exit from the forest, where his two-story house was. Far from civilization, high in the mountains, remote. An ideal place for a quiet and peaceful life, right? Especially since his beloved wife, who was carrying a child under her heart, was waiting for him at home.

The wind faintly swayed the bells hanging on the front door, and they jingled loudly as Xavier walked into the house with a wide, toothy grin, then called out loudly in his unnatural and creepy voice:

"Darling, I'm back!"
