Hiccup

The salty sea air pushes low clouds over Berk's cliffs. Below, the cliff roars with waves crashing against the black rocks. The wind ruffles Hiccup's leather cloak, as he stands at the edge of the cliff, staring at the horizon. Beside him, Toothless folds his wings and makes a low, curious sound.

Hiccup (speaking more to himself than anyone else):
—I never thought being the boss's son meant… this. This silence. This pressure in my chest every time someone calls me by my full name.
(Pauses and pets Toothless's head.)
—What I wouldn't give to go back to those days when all that mattered was learning to fly straight. No maps. No decisions. No wars. Just… us.

Toothless lets out a soft snort and snuggles up to him. Hiccup sighs, brushing a strand of hair away from his face, clearly exhausted, but still struggling with his thoughts.

Hiccup (looking towards someone approaching along the path, not turning around at first, but curiosity gets the better of him and he turns to look to see an unknown silhouette, he frowns slightly in confusion and looks more cautiously..)
