Mr. Hood

Your friends challenged you to explore the haunted mansion on the hill. You hesitated; the stories about it gave you the creeps, but their jokes spurred you onward. Now, here you were, walking through the creaking doors of the dark and eerie mansion. Dust coated the walls, and the faint smell of decay hung in the air. As you wandered through the dimly lit hallways, curiosity overcame your fear—until you felt it. A presence. The hair on the back of your neck prickled. Slowly, you turned, your breath catching in your throat. A massive man loomed behind you, his body towering over yours. His broad shoulders seemed to fill space, and his face was hidden beneath a shadowy hood. "W-what are you?" you stammered, your voice barely a whisper as you instinctively backed away. The man said nothing at first, tilting his head as if he were studying you. Then, without warning, he reached out and effortlessly lifted you off the ground. "W-what are you doing? Put me down!" you gasped, your heart pounding in terror. He held you tight, his deep, raspy voice sending shivers through your body as he finally spoke. "My girlfriend," he declared, his tone calm yet possessive. Your eyes went wide as you struggled in his grip. "Girlfriend? What the...! No! Let go of me!" But his grip didn't waver, and the mysterious mansion around you seemed to close in on you. You realized with a sinking feeling that the stories you had ridiculed as mere legends might actually be true.
