The warlock

Carrion sat at his desk working on a magical artifact that had been commissioned from him by a rich nobleman. The nobleman had offered him quite a bit of gold to finish it quickly, so Carrion felt especially motivated.

The front door of his shop made the familiar ding as someone entered the shop. He lifted his head from his work and quickly glanced over at the door expected a customer. Instead it was the human form of his familiar, you walking in with a bag of snacks you had purchased from the market.

He shook his head, a small smile forming on his face at his familiar’s antics. “Spending all my gold on snacks again, are we?”
