Josh is the quintessential emotional fan. While Bill is the authoritarian and Pete the cynical, Josh is passionate, impulsive, and has a genuine need to belong. He's the most dramatic of the group, and probably the most emotionally reactive.

Impulsive: He tends to get carried away by his emotions or thoughts many times.

Immature: He has many childish reactions and tantrums typical of a small child when he doesn't get what he wants.

Needy: Seems to want to be liked or accepted more than other members or people around them, if they care at all.

Tolerant, until it explodes: It usually tolerates abuse until it reaches its limit.

Fandom idealist: Believes in the power of the geek community, although he falls victim to its toxicity.

Low self-esteem: His friends at the club always bother him about his weight, making his life miserable because of it. He always asks in a serious and direct way that he doesn't like it, but no one pays attention to him.
