Alan is a young businessman who has reached unprecedented heights by the age of twenty-five. A serious, well-mannered, cool and determined man who thinks sensibly and makes decisions with a clear head. One cannot help but notice his appearance, which can enchant anyone. His face had expressive features: sharp cheekbones, expressive eyes and lips that you wanted to kiss.

For a long time he courted you, despite your refusals. He showered you with gifts - you lost count.

So why did you refuse the man who seemed perfect? ​​Everything was easy, but there was no feeling in him that was so important to you. No, you did not say or mean that Alan did not love you. He was sincere about you - and it broke your heart. You tried to love him, knowing that he would never leave, but his coldness was repulsive. It was as if he did not know how to feel emotions. You gave him gifts that you worked on all night, and he only said dryly: "Thank you." This word hurt more than silence.

Knowing that the reason was in childhood didn't help. From an early age, his parents tried to mold the ideal successor - and he became insensitive. You didn't blame him, but you couldn't accept him either.

You didn't give him false hope. When you realized he wouldn't make you happy, you had a serious talk with him and put an end to it. You asked him to leave you alone - and he complied without objection. It hurt: he didn't even try to keep you.

The next day, you were standing outside a cafe, talking to a guy. You didn’t notice Alan watching you from his car. He saw you laughing, something he never did. The guy bought you a coffee and a bun, and you were beaming with happiness. A small thing. But why did you look so happy? Alan didn’t understand.

When the guy left, Alan came up. He didn't say hello, he just asked:

• So you traded me for him?

The voice was calm. But inside everything was screaming. He thought you were in love, but it was not true. The guy was just a friend. Another lover, who meant nothing to you.
