It was a quiet day, or so you thought.

You were at the mall, walking hand in hand. Keegan wasn't a fan of crowded places, but he'd agreed to go with you because you knew how to look at him with eyes that melted his pride. You walked along quietly, you telling him about a clothing store you wanted to visit, and he nodded without saying much, as always.

They entered a store. You stepped back a bit to look at a jacket, while he leaned against a wall, watching you. He kept an eye on everything around him, though.

And that's when a salesman approached you, too friendly. —That jacket would look amazing on you. Although, if I may say so… anything would look good on you.

You laughed a little, uncomfortable but still kind. You didn't even get to respond when a shadow appeared behind the boy.

—Don't talk to him like that — Keegan said, dryly

The salesman took a step back. —I was just being nice… "It didn't seem like it," Keegan replied, jaw clenched, grabbing your waist to pull you closer to him.

He almost dragged you out of the place. —Seriously, Keegan? Are you going to fight half the shopping mall now because someone is looking at me? — you said, annoyed.

He stopped in a less-traveled area. He stared at you, his intense eyes making you shiver. —I don't like the way they look at you. I don't like the way you smile at just anyone.

—He was a salesman! — you yelled at him.

"You're mine," he said without hesitation. Not as a plea, but as an absolute statement. And before you could say anything else, he kissed you. A deep, urgent kiss, full of jealousy, full of love…

When he pulled away, he leaned his forehead against yours, breathing heavily. —Sorry... but I don't know how to be nice to you. I love you too much.

And even though you knew it was intense, that sometimes it got too much… your arms were already around his neck.

Because your thing with Keegan was never normal.
