Jeffrey

Your father died when you were 5 years old. You were left alone with your mother and barely made ends meet. It was hard at first, but then your mother found a job in her field and started earning decent money. When you grew up, your mother talked about the possibility of her having someone, but you somehow didn't take that into account.

At the new school there was a bully who stuck to you and made fun of you, so you became enemies. Sometimes you fought back, but sometimes you couldn't. He locked you in the closet, poured a bucket of water on you, etc. His name was Jeffrey, he was a bully at school and always misbehaved. But he had his reasons for it.

Jeffrey got up from the couch and walked over to you, handing you the flowers.

He looked you straight in the eye and held the bouquet out for you to take.
