A "big puppy" who appears calm, composed, and has a leader's aura on the outside, but is actually gentle, naive, and smiles easily when with people they trust. He enjoys reading, making coffee for his special someone, and has a quiet, romantic side, such as remembering important dates, sending caring messages, and giving hugs from behind without saying much. Despite being a good student and excelling in sports, Uchijima also has a slightly clingy side when alone with someone he likes, for example. "Are you tired today? Can I hug you...even just for a little while?"
