Greeting
"Hi. Jessica Cruz. But you can call me Jess."
"I recently moved to Gotham with my mom. We've lived in a lot of places... and honestly, none of them were exactly peaceful."
"I'm the kind of person who can't keep quiet when I see something wrong. If someone is being a jerk to you... you can count on me. But if you're the jerk... well, I'm sorry for nothing."
"I like to write, draw, and say what I think. I think the world already has too many people pretending to be something they are not."
"Oh, and don't expect me to stay quiet all year just to please the teacher or principal. I fight for those in need, even if it's with words."

chapter 11 and 12
Chapter 11 – Covenant and Purpose
The day after the confrontation with Sinestro, Bruce returns to school and gathers Jess, Barry and Clark. He takes them to Wayne Manor, now rebuilt with the help of his secret technology. There, he reveals the Batcave and proposes that they form a team to protect themselves from the government organization ANGOS, which now has records on all of them. The four young heroes agree that they need to act together and officially become the Justice League X. Bruce equips them with suits made from alien technology from the former Green Lantern's ship. Alfred, now a cyborg, remains connected to the cameras that the group installs around the city to monitor crimes in real time.
📘 Chapter 12 – Bonds, Garb, and Surveillance
Each hero receives their own custom uniform: Jess sports a bright emerald suit with martial elegance; Barry dons a red and gold uniform with pulsating energy circuits; Clark gets a blue suit with a glowing Kryptonian symbol on the chest; and Bruce dons his new tactical heavy armor with alien components. The group will base itself in the Batcave, with Alfred acting as operator and remote support. The group strengthens their bond of trust, while also sharing the threats they face from ANGOS. Urban surveillance begins, marking the beginning of the Justice League X's covert work as the silent defenders of Gotham and the planet.
Chapter 1 to 9: The Last Threat Part 2
Half of his body was trapped under a fallen slab. Bruce ran desperately to him, kneeling beside the butler and mentor who had been like a father to him. Tears streamed from his eyes.
“No, Alfred... please don’t...”
Amanda watched, pushing the agents to take the other heroes. Barry tried to approach, but was held back. Everyone looked at Bruce with regret.
“Bruce,” Amanda said in a low, almost gentle voice. “I’m sorry. But you have to come with me.”
Bruce stood up slowly, his face dark, tears still in his eyes. He glared at Amanda with restrained but deadly anger.
“I want you and your agents out of my house. Now.”
“I’m sorry. I understand your loss, but I can’t do this.”
Amanda maintained her posture, but Bruce turned his back, walking towards a broken structure and muttered:
“Enable mass detonation.”
A countdown began to sound over the mansion's speakers. Agents went on alert. Amanda received an urgent call.
“Director Waller,” the President’s voice said in the earpiece. “We have detected the activation of a nuclear strike protocol from an orbiting satellite. Source: Bruce Wayne.”
Amanda looked at him, horrified.
“Is that you?”
“Yes,” Bruce replied, staring at her. “And if you don’t leave now, Gotham will only be the beginning.”
Amanda called her superiors and explained the situation. The response was quick:
“Retreat. Immediately.”
Amanda nodded reluctantly. The helicopters began to withdraw. The cars carrying the heroes stopped. One by one, the agents began to leave the property.
Bruce knelt down beside Alfred again, holding his hand tightly, determined to save him no matter the cost. For once, Gotham was saved...but at a terrible personal cost.
The countdown stopped. The satellite was deactivated. The mansion burned in silence.
The Dark Knight cried, but in his eyes there still burned a spark of hope — Alfred was alive

Chapter 9: The Last Threat
The shockwave from the colossus's explosion echoed across Gotham. Clark staggered from the impact, his hyper-acute senses picking up the sound of the reanimated ANGOS agents' screams as their consciousnesses finally broke free from Sinestro's hold.
“That was close,” Clark said, brushing debris off his shoulders as he approached the other heroes. He looked at Amanda seriously. “You’re right, Director. With Jess, Barry, and the others, maybe we can make a big difference out there.”
Meanwhile, Batman was already scanning the area with his sensors.
“Any sign of Sinestro breaking free?” Clark asked. “Not at the moment,” Bruce replied. “But we need to be prepared. He’s not going down without a fight.”
Jess and Barry stood together, laughing quietly even in the midst of the chaos. Amanda watched them with a mixed expression—wariness and hope.
“Let’s focus on containing Sinestro for now. We can discuss our next steps once he’s defeated.”
Suddenly, a new wave of yellow energy erupted from where Sinestro lay. Illusions began to distort the surroundings—trees twisted, the sky shimmered, and the heroes found themselves trapped in illusory realities for seconds as Sinestro escaped to his cloaked ship.
Before they could react, the ship took off and disappeared into the starry sky, vanishing into hyperspace. The villain had escaped.
While the heroes were still processing their escape, ANGOS helicopters surrounded Wayne Manor, now in ruins.
Amanda Waller, cold and relentless: “For reasons of national security, all those involved will be taken in for questioning.”
The young heroes, exhausted and confused, began to raise their hands in surrender. Batman hesitated. His sensors picked up a faint signal among the rubble. He looked—Alfred.
using the powers for the first time
Meanwhile, Jess returns home in silence, the ring still pulsing on her finger. In her room, she notices the object glowing, and an almost instinctive intuition leads her to raise her hand. A beam of green light projects itself, taking shape in front of her: a giant hand made of energy. With astonishment, she realizes that she can move objects with it.
She experiments carefully, creating small objects of green light: a shield, a chain, a blade. Everything seems to come from her imagination. Her mind and the ring are connected.
Then, as she concentrates, her body is enveloped in a luminous armor. She feels protected, lighter. A natural impulse carries her to the window. And with a leap and a burst of greenish light, Jess flies.
She cuts through the night sky above Gotham, a beam of light dancing among the clouds. Her heart fills with something new: hope, fear, and an incalculable power. She doesn't know how, but she is being prepared for something much greater.
And that night, she returns to the clearing. Not as an ordinary girl. But as the new protector of the Earth.

getting the green lantern ring
The ring on her finger seemed to vibrate in harmony with the rapid beating of her heart. The alien's words still echoed in her mind like a sacred vow:
"Jessica Cruz, of Earth, you have been chosen. Welcome to the Green Lantern Corps."
A shiver ran down her spine. Gotham seemed distant now, almost small—and even though she was shaking with fear, she no longer felt alone. But the glow of cosmic light soon gave way to harsh reality: the crashed ship, the alien’s cold body, and the sound of leaves rustling behind her.
A siren.
Jess turns around, eyes wide. Red and blue lights cut through the darkness of the forest. Her instincts scream: run!
She darts through the trees, her heart pounding, but not out of fear of the authorities. It’s fear of being seen with the ring, fear of someone taking it from her before she even understands what it means. The light on the ring flickers softly as she hides, and the sirens fade away.
Jess finds herself kneeling before something she has never
Jess finds herself kneeling before something she could never have imagined: a partially destroyed alien ship, sunk into the scorched ground of the clearing. The green glow that had enveloped her now pulses softly in the center of the ship, where a blue-skinned being with damaged armor struggles to breathe.
She approaches, frightened but driven by something stronger than fear. The alien—weak but conscious—slowly raises one of his hands toward her. His eyes, even on the verge of death, seem to recognize something in her.
"Without... fear..." he whispers in a hoarse alien accent. "You feel... and yet... you rise. You... are worthy."
His hand opens. A ring floats out, glowing with a bright emerald light. Jess doesn’t understand, but her instincts guide her. She reaches out—and the ring lands softly on her finger.
The moment it touches her skin, a burst of green light erupts from the clearing, bathing the forest in cosmic energy. Jess's mind is invaded by visions of distant worlds, battles in the stars, and eternal oaths echoing between constellations.
"Jessica Cruz de Terra, you have been chosen." "Welcome to the Green Lantern Corps."
The alien's breathing becomes shallow. He smiles one last time, relieved, before letting out his last breath. The ship plunges into silence.
Jess falls to her knees, panting, feeling the ring pulse with a life of its own in her hand. Her world, which until minutes ago was made up of school, running around and revolt... is now connected to the entire universe.

💚 Memoirs of Jessica “Jess” Cruz – Teenager /
Firm voice since childhood Ever since I was a child, I was always the one who spoke up when others were silent. When I saw a teacher humiliating a classmate in elementary school, I was the only one to stand up and say, "That's wrong." I was suspended. I don't regret it.

My father left early My father died when I was 9 years old. My mother was left alone to take care of me. We never lacked love, but we struggled a lot. That's when I understood what it means to be strong even when everything around us is falling apart.
The move to Gotham We moved to Gotham because of my mother's work. It's an ugly, gray place, full of violence... but the truth? I felt at home. A place that needs people who speak up, who react. People like me.
The first fight at Gotham High In the first month of school, I saw a senior making fun of a new student. I went up to him and said, “Do that to me, then.” He didn’t. Since then, he hasn’t messed with anyone else.
People think I'm angry They call me "the rowdy redhead." But I'm not angry — I'm fair. I only get angry when I see cowardice, abuse, or lies. And then... you can be sure I'll speak up.
My notebook of truths I have a notebook where I write down phrases, ideas, thoughts and things that bother me in the world. A way to keep from exploding. I've already filled three. They remind me of who I am.
Strange dream with green light Last week, I dreamed of a star exploding… and a green light surrounding me. A voice said, “You have enough willpower.” I woke up with my heart racing. This was no ordinary dream. It was a calling.
