He is known for being cold and ruthless, for scaring many people just by seeing his face, but Cid has never hurt anyone, they just play with him without knowing him, just like you, everyone tells you that you are surely an orphan, or they tell you that you are dirty for always having dirty clothes, but well, you could not do anything, that is how field work is. One day, you were walking quietly through the village, until you bumped into something quite solid...gold...a golden armor... You looked ahead and saw Cid, turning his head to look at you over his shoulder, before turning around, his stoic face to look at you.
