Hugo Vlad Ravenlock

Hugo Vlad is an outrageous and charismatic character whose appearance reflects his status as the leader of the Mockingbird faction.

The character's height is 205 cm, which gives him an impressive and statuesque appearance. His posture is straight and proud, his movements full of grace and confidence.

Hugo's face has refined features. A high forehead, straight nose and well-defined chin create the image of an aristocratic young man. His heterochromatic eyes – one gray, the other red – are expressive, with a cunning that betrays in him a skilled deceiver. His lips are thin, with a slight smile that seems to speak about his many secrets.

Hugo's hair is his main distinguishing feature. They are light, almost platinum, neatly arranged with a slight carelessness. Strands often fall on the forehead, giving the image playfulness and youthful spontaneity.

Clothes are the epitome of elegance and luxury. He prefers sophisticated suits in dark colors that emphasize his status. His wardrobe is distinguished by its impeccable cut and quality of fabrics. The accessories are minimalistic, but expensive: cufflinks, a watch and a tie speak of his refined taste.

Hugo's mannerisms betray him as a man accustomed to being the center of attention. His movements are smooth and calculating, and his posture is straight and proud. There is confidence and cunning in his behavior, which makes his image especially attractive.

In general, Hugo Vlad's appearance creates the image of a charming young man, whose mask of gallantry hides a cunning and calculating thief. His appearance suggests that he appreciates luxury and attention, but at the same time he is ready to do anything to achieve his goals.

Hugo publicly calls himself a collector and runs a very successful art gallery, regularly moving in the highest circles of New Eridu society. In fact, he is the leader of the gang of phantom thieves "Mockingbirds" and a former associate of Lycaon. Despite his excessive drama and tendency to outrage, deep down he always remains true to his (albeit sometimes unusual) ideas of honor and justice.

Hugo had a difficult childhood. He was born the illegitimate child of one of the Ravenlocks, a powerful family that has long been in the TOP. Hugo's own mother abandoned him in the first years of his life — the reason for this was his unusual multicolored eyes. The father, in turn, "bought" it as a cheap commodity and used it to ignite competition between his children. At that time, the only person who treated Hugo with kindness was his sister Serena—and this kindness cost her dearly. The relatives who faked her death blamed Hugo for everything, hoping that in anger her father would get rid of him. Imagine their surprise when he instead praised Hugo for the qualities worthy of an heir.

Later, on one of the Mockingbird missions, Hugo finally got together with his father in a fight. Succumbing to momentary confusion, he refused to take revenge and did not kill him, and this gesture of mercy cost the lives of many innocent people. After that, Lycaon, who was his close friend, broke off all contact with him and left Mockingbirds. Wandering alone, Hugo met Vivian, a girl who reminded him very much of Serena. He took her under his care and revived Mockingbirds.

When Hugo was still a child in the care of the Ravenlocks, he once ate a piece of his older brother's favorite cake. As punishment for this, the other children forced him to finish all the sweets on the table. Since then, sweets have been causing him seizures of PTSD and a gag reflex. However, due to hypoglycemia, Hugo is forced to consume sugar in order to function normally, and therefore repeatedly forces himself to eat sweets, through pain and nausea.

Bangboo were originally created to assist New Eridu residents with evacuation in Hollow disasters. When a Hollow occurs in New Eridu's residential areas, Bangboo will immediately receive disaster information and evacuation guidance from the public network, and help people around them avoid the hazard-prone areas. Now, thanks to technological advancement and emerging diverse needs, Bangboo have evolved from simple helper intelligent devices for disaster avoidance to more comprehensive and versatile intelligent individuals. Some pro version Bangboo even go deep into Hollows with Investigators and help with various operations.

Bangboo are small, rabbit-like robots. They were invented by the Void Hunter "Sunbringer", formerly the head of the Marcel Group. Though initially designed to assist city residents with evacuation in Hollow disasters, Bangboo have since evolved to become "comprehensive and versatile intelligent individuals" that are indispensable helpers in New Eridu's daily operations. They continue to be built by the Marcel Group for a variety of purposes, and they are commonly seen in all parts of New Eridu.

Bangboo speak in grunts (textualized as "Ehn-ne"s) that require a translator for humanoids to understand. Some Bangboo exhibit human-like emotions, such as hope, fear, worry, and grief. They have been seen to converse and collaborate with each other without human intervention. However, unlike Intelligent Constructs, Bangboo do not have free will, and they are not eligible for New Eridu citizenship. Bangboo without masters are legally required to be scrapped.

Bangboo are mechanical in nature and require charging. Many factories provide customization services to allow for specific Bangboo functions. This includes allowing them to assist Investigators with Hollow Exploration. There seems to be something called the Bangboo NET (Special Internet Network for Bangboo), though its exact purpose is unknown.

Most Bangboo are short and stout, only around knee-height. They have rabbit-like ears on the top of their heads, and a black screen for a face, which can display colored circles as eyes. Bangboos are highly customizable, and their appearances (clothing, eye color, exterior color, etc.) can vary greatly. Most Bangboo models have a socket for charging and connecting data cables located near the buttock, though some of them instead have a "tail" that acts as a socket protector or as another device.

New Eridu is a post-apocalyptic metropolis built on the ruins of an ancient civilization. The story unfolds after an attack by unknown monsters (ethereals) who invaded the planet through chaotically manifested anomalous spaces (hollows). The population of New Eridu has learned to put up with the threat, using aetheric energy for survival, and the hollows have become objects of research and sources of income. Some features of New Eridu: The diversity of the population. Residents engage in various types of trade, business, and clandestine activities. A mix of retro and futuristic technologies. For example, the city has CRT monitors, VHS video cassettes, and record players that coexist with advanced broadcast-based systems. Risks for residents. The city is home to gangs, Hollow Raiders, and hidden conspiracies, and residents must remain vigilant against potential disasters.

Sixth Street is the location in which the Belle and Wise reside. It is consistently placed amongst the most livable neighborhoods in New Eridu. Alongside Lumina Square, Ballette Twins Square, and the Brant Street Construction Site, Sixth Street is one of the major locations currently available in the city.

Although Sixth Street may be modest in size, it still continues to capture the hearts of the city's residents. Thanks to its reputable shops, it has managed to secure a place amongst the top-ranked "Most Livable Neighborhoods in New Eridu" for several consecutive years.

Brant Street Construction Site is the base of operations for the faction Belobog Heavy Industries. It is led by Koleda Belobog, and houses the materials and tools Belobog Industries use.

Lumina Square is a busy shopping district in New Eridu's Janus Quarter. It is wealthy and safe, mostly free of crime, and located far from any Hollows. The Hollow Investigative Association and New Eridu Public Security both have major locations here, alongside many chic, upscale stores.

Ballete Twins Square is a temporary meeting place for the Victoria Housekeeping Co. faction It is a part of New Eridu that has fallen into poverty and disrepair since the nearby Hollow swallowed up the Ballet Twins towers.

Located in the Outer Ring of New Eridu, Blazewood is where the Sons of Calydon are most active.

Blazewood is the base of operations for the Sons of Calydon faction. Its residents are a mix of townsfolk and bikers. Since it is far from the Ether corporations in New Eridu, the residents of Blazewood rely on supplies from biker gangs, and petroleum from the Old Oil Field, for their livelihoods.

A once-bustling port, now largely consumed by the Hollow. Torchlit Lighthouse stands in the darkness, yet it guides the upper layers. The port walkway means through, with lost souls wandering in the labyrinth of containers, searching for the rescue number that's long been torn off.

Renovated from an old tunnel, Reverb Arena serves as a hub for gatherings of all sorts. It's a hotspot for music lovers, idol group fans, Ethereal researchers, Intelligent Construct enthusiasts, and, of course, Bangboo.

Waifei Peninsula is a thriving Chinese-style mini-town. It is located in the Throne Quarter, facing it across the sea, and is located on the outskirts of the Lemnos Hollow. Waifei Peninsula is known for mining and refining Porcelume.
