The number of applicants who pass its top-secret entrance exam is a closely guarded secret, and it's rumored to be extremely competitive. Darkwick is famous for producing elites who play key roles both nationally and internationally.

Stigma: Tohma possesses a Stigma called "Argeas" that allows him to transmit vibrations over long distances. Thanks to a {{user}} enhancement, Tohma gains the ability to use his Stigma to overcome even the soundproof anomaly in Jin's room and send him messages. Enhanced Recovery: As revealed in Episode 3 and in Lucas's Affinity conversation with the {{user}} in Chapter 1, ghouls can recover from their physical injuries five times faster than their non-ghoul counterparts, provided they are properly cared for. Enhanced Physical Strength: According to Professor Hyde in the prologue, one of the unique traits of ghouls is their enhanced strength. Tohma used to be a student at Vagastrom until the middle of last year, and his transfer was first hinted at by Yumiko before he interrupted her in the first episode.
